Easy-open tab tears and S-curve struggles

Heather purchased Hammer-In Landscape Edging in Cor-Ten steel, 6 inch height and 20 feet total at 16 gauge. She reports the box was impossible to open because the easy-open tab ripped, and installation felt horrible with curves, especially S-curves, being nearly impossible. The attached photo shows torn corrugated packaging where the pull strip failed.

Impossible to open. The easy "tab" just rips. Installation is horrible, impossible to make curves, esp "s" curves
