DIY Curved River Rock Border With Steel Edging

October 2, 2025Shared by Michelle

Michelle installed Edge Right steel edging along a side-yard bed to separate lawn from river rock and mulch. She found installation straightforward after moving a few rocks, noting the pieces are rigid yet flexible for smooth curves and stabilized by soil on one side and stones on the other. The edge allows weed whacking right up to it, stops grass from creeping into the rock bed, and feels worth the investment for long-lasting durability.

I absolutely love this product! Installation was straightforward; I did need to move a few rocks to hammer it into place, but overall it was easy to work with. I built up the soil on one side and used stones on the other, which really added to its stability. The edging is nicely rigid, but still flexible enough to bend as needed without any issues. My husband is especially pleased that he can now weed whack right up against it and it also prevents grass from creeping into the rocks and landscaping. Before purchasing, I spent a lot of time researching and reading reviews on other options; while this product may cost a bit more, I generally believe it’s worth the investment. It feels incredibly durable and I’m confident it’s going to last for many years to come
