I used this to edge a pathway where water was pooling on the brick pad during heavy rain and washing against the foundation and into the basement. Since I added the edging, there's been no water coming in. Woohoo! I also used this edging to line the front of a bay on the house, then backfilled any gaps with gravel. I had metal hardware cloth under the bay to prevent any rodents getting in there, but this feels like a perfect way to discourage anything from trying to tunnel under the bay.
