SELF-PROTECTING WEATHERING STEEL
This isn't ordinary rust – it's a sophisticated protective barrier. COR-TEN® steel forms a stable rust-like appearance called a patina, which actually shields the steel underneath from further corrosion.
Unlike ordinary carbon steel, A606 Type 4 is designed to develop a denser, more adherent patina through repeated wet-dry cycles. The alloying elements help that surface layer dramatically slow deeper corrosion. If scratched, the exposed steel can weather and build a new patina. It remains a weathering material—not literally rust-proof—and performs best where it can dry between wet periods.

And because Edge Right penetrates into the ground, it provides a much better barrier to weeds and unwanted grass invading your beds and may even help prevent invasion by bugs and rodents.
